WELCOME TO ORAL SEDATION SEMINARS

The fear and anxiety experienced by millions of Americans
receiving dental care is a well-documented reality.

In fact, approximately 30% of the American population needs
some form of anxiolysis or sedation to receive dental care
and only 60% of these people do well with nitrous oxide sedation alone.

This means that 34 million fearful patients are currently avoiding
routine and necessary dental visits*.

WE ARE ALMOST HALF THE PRICE OF COMPETITORS

(Our 2-day course is $1495 while Competitors charge as much as $3000)

Yes, I have been able to do some bigger cases because of oral sedation and also faster.
Ever since I took the course probably about 10 patients.
I particularly remember a gentleman in his early thirties who had never had a filling done because of fear of needles and pain.
He needed 8 fillings and 2 crowns and when I told him that we could get it all done in 2 hours with the use of sedation with Halcion.
He wanted to do it. So, it was a very good experience for him.
He then referred me his mother in law and I did 2 crowns with Halcion as well.
I charge $295 for the sedation itself on top of the restorative fee.
Over all it has been a good addition to our list of services.

In general, it's been great, not just for the practice but for the patients in the community.
I work for aspen and my practice is a very busy location with lots of extractions and immediate dentures.
Most common about our patients are, patients with no insurance, below average income, and high anxiety. They cannot afford IV sedation. So, after the course on oral sedation, I have been able to treat and help all the patients who couldn't afford IV sedation and patients love it.
I can give you one example from last week. The patient had gone to multiple practices for a quote on immediate extractions and insert denture. She was a very nervous patient, so all the quotes included IV Sedation which she couldn't afford. I talked to her about oral sedation, which brought down the treatment charges since, surgeons normally include IV Sedation charges. I did her extractions last week and it went way better than the patient expected.

As you may know already - I have been to the Oral Sedation course 2 times! I try to go every other year because things change so rapidly in the world of drugs and drug interactions and how they can affect our patients. Without a doubt the course that Dr. Garg offers is fantastic! Being certified to administer oral sedation has been a great benefit to our endodontic practice - especially to patients that have special needs or suffer from dental anxiety. I probably sedate 2-3 patients per week.

I have not marketed oral sedation other than offering it to existing or new patients upon discussion of anxiety during their initial comp exam or future concerns about it. The course was great to help with the efficient and correct dosing of patients in my practice.
I do have a chain smoker patient that could not be numbed up for a full mouth of extractions, bone grafting and dental implant placement. Her choices were limited and I was considering general anesthesia for her. Sedating her correctly with Dr. Goodchild's oral sedation recommendation definitely relaxed her and allowed me to numb her up properly to get the procedure done in less than 2 hours.
